353 Joshua was convicted on 20 Aug 1849 at London Criminal Court of receiving stolen property and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment. He arrived in Hobart 27 May 1853 on St Vincent and was released on a conditional pardon 28 Aug 1855. When it became known that Joshua would soon be free Catherine and the children took passage on the Australasian arriving in Hobart in January 1855. Aaron's parents were married in Hobart in 1856, had three more children. Joshua had several hotels including The City of Norwich and the Old Commodore Inn in Brisbane St. Joshua SIMMONS
